 How to Get Tax Residency Certificate (TRC) in India for Freepik Authors?

First of all Download Form 10FA ☞ HERE and Print it at home or at any Print Shop.

• Now Visit e-Filling, Income Tax Department, Government of India Website ☞ HERE 
• Now look for "Know Your TAN|AO" link on website
• As You can see in the screenshot I have highlighted Know Your TAN|AO option with Red mark.
• Click on AO option ☞ HERE or on website, choice is yours.

• Fill your PAN Number & Registered Mobile Number details and click Submit.
• Remember your mobile number needs to be linked with your PAN

Now you will get OTP on your registered mobile number, type your mobile OTP & click Validate.

• After clicking Validate this page will appear with the information of your Jurisdictional A.O. (as you can see in the screenshot marked in Red).
• On the screenshot Jurisdiction is ITO WARD HAMIRPUR & Building Name is Hamirpur, HP. This is the address of INCOME TAX Department where I live.
• In your case the address will be different, according to your city.

Now you have Form 10FA  & you also know the address of your Jurisdictional A.O. ( Assessing Officer)  where you need to visit and Submit Form 10FA (Filled With Your Information) Along with these documents

1. Photocopy of PAN
2. Photocopy of AADHAAR
3. Photocopy of PASSPORT 

In case you don't have Passport, they may ask for an AFFIDAVIT for a proof (The Income Tax Department in My area ask for this & I provide them affidavit along with these documents). 

The Income Tax Officials in my area also ask for the proof of INCOME TAX RETURNS I file every year. You can get the copy of Tax Return from your CA who file your ITR (Income Tax Returns) or you can download on "incometaxindiaefiling" website if you file your Income Tax Return by Yourself.

After submitting all the documents in your nearby Income Tax Office, The officials will review your application & provide You TRC in Form 10FB. It will take few weeks or a month depends on their review process.
